It has been just over a year since I posted about my everyday makeup and I realized today that I don’t really use the same products as last year, you can read what I used then, here. So why not do an update! I love seeing what products other people use, its a great way to try new things and see if products actually work, like they claim. Some of my products have remained the same but some have changed to a less expensive brand. Mostly because it’s easier to grab replacements when I am doing groceries rather than doing an online shop at Sephora or going to the mall that has Sephora which is a further drive away. One that I do not want to do with two little kids!

My Everyday Makeup Products – Updated!

Shiseido sports BB in Medium –  I actually received this BB cream free from the influenster program to trial and I love it. I usually avoid BB creams because they always feel so sticky on my skin and don’t feel absorbed but this one is great! It goes on matte and dries and pretty much feels like foundation but stays put. I will be repurchasing this again for sure!

Maybelline fit me concealer in Light –  This one does the job. It’s not really long-lasting but for my everyday makeup it’s all I need.

Josie Maran coconut water cheek stain in Poppy –  I really like this cheek stain. It’s a really pretty ‘flushed look’ colour. I also use it on my lips and eye lids too. Because it’s a cream base I apply before my powder and it stays on all day.

Maybelline Fit me set and smooth powder in Nude Beige – This powder is so cheap. I got in on a whim while doing groceries because I ran out of my usual mac powder and it like it. Again, it does the job for an everyday makeup look. I would still probably buy my usual mac powder for any special occasion makeup that I want staying put.

Mac bronzing powder in Bronze – I have been using this bronzing powder for years. It lasts forever but I repurchase this one because it’s a perfect bronze colour. It’s not glittery either which I do not like in a bronzer. I apply it around my forehead, under my cheek bones, alone my nose, chin and the creases of my eyes.

e.l.f Highlighting HD powder in starlight glow – This highlighter is really pretty. e.l.f is such a cheap brand yet it has some fantastic reviews. I recently saw on their instagram that the makeup artist of the american dancing with the stars used e.l.f products on Julianne Hough. So that was enough to sell me on them! Also I did an online shop during the memorial day weekend and I think I bought this highlighter for $3! I apply this on my cheek bones, the centre of my nose, my brow bone and inner corner of my eyes.

Revlon Colourstay brow pencil in Blonde – I have tried a few brow pencils. I only like the crayon style ones. They seem to go on easiest. The waxy pencil ones don’t apply easily. This particular one is a thicker crayon than the others I have previously tried. I bought this one because it was on sale and I actually really like it and will repurchase. I use to use the Mac brow pencil but I was finding when I was applying it would break so I was wasting product.

Rimmel London wake me up mascara in black – For a cheap brand I do like this mascara. I always curl my lashes first before ever applying mascara but I find this one makes my lashes look fuller and longer. And really, that’s all I want in a mascara! I actually bought this particular one in Australia so it has a different name, in North America it is called lift me up.

My everyday makeup products

I still enjoy spending a little more on good makeup but for everyday makeup running errands, getting groceries, play dates etc. These products are great!
