It’s a little funny to be writing this post now when Siena turned one back in November but so much happened while we were away so I’m playing catch up! Also, I really want to have all these memories to look back on. Plus it feels like just yesterday I had her and celebrated her first birthday! She is already 14 months old! Stop growing!!
We had her party at my sisters. It was a stinking hot day, the best weather 😉. She wore a crown and tutu and we had fairy bread, party pies and sausage rolls, lollies and ice cream cake. It was perfect. More or less a quintessential Aussie little kids birthday party! Except she had a gourmet-maybe slightly inappropriately named-gelato ice cream – dr evils magic mushroom – cake from Mesina (best gelato place) which is a step up from some of my 90s Woolworths ice cream birthday cakes! Sorry mum! I’m not complaining😋
Siena at One..
You have so much personality, you just want to follow and play with your brother all day, you are very cautious, you started walking (completely) at 14 months, you are so smart, you have curly hair that grows naturally into a Mohawk, you were climbing way before you were walking, you are into everything-no stone is left unturned, you are cuddly and shy and the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, you are definitely a mamma’s girl and I love it.
I truly cannot believe my baby girl turned one. I feel like Noah’s first year went at an appropriate speed if not slow and I could really take it all in, I remember almost every month as if it was yesterday. Siena on the other hand, went by in the blink of an eye. I know it is most likely because I was busy with two children this time but it kind of makes me sad. Something parents with more than one child agree with, I’m sure…right? Time for another, just kidding…maybe a puppy…just kidding
I love you my sweet darling girl. You are pure light and sunshine. You have brought us so much love and laughter. You have been a pure joy and an easy baby. We are so lucky to have you.
