This weekend it was cold and snowy. That is nothing new here really but it’s the sort of weather that makes you want to stay inside all day and lay on the lounge, watch movies and drink hot chocolate. BUT when you have two kids under 3 that’s just not near our reality. We had a 3rd birthday party to go, naturally I left buying a present to the last-minute so on Saturday morning I went to the mall ALL BY MYSELF! Like, I actually went shopping alone, crazy I know. It was fabulous. Would you believe that I have never gone shopping by myself without either child? ever. I bought a Starbucks and wondered around just looking and wasting time whilst sipping that glorious hot latte. BECAUSE I COULD! My kids are the best, obviously. But being able to shop alone, enjoying the quiet really is good for the soul. Not so much for the bank account, but really I only do it once every 3 years so it’s ok. The only downside is having no pram or stroller to put your bags and heavy winter jacket #firstworldproblems
The birthday party was fun, we got to interact with other adults and the kids got to eat cake with a tonne of food colouring. Both crashed around 630, we ate our hello fresh, mamma sent daddy out to get some dairy queen blizzards and we settled in to watch nocturnal animals. It’s a good movie, but still unsure what exactly it was about.
Sunday mornings Noah plays soccer. It’s more little skill stations, rather than an actual game of soccer but he wears a cute little soccer outfit and it’s fun to watch. We did some groceries where Siena choked on an apple skin (something we never give her but she wanted her brothers apple so she had it) and whilst choking and trying to cough up the skin she projectile vomited everywhere. Luckily people were nice and helped us clean up, but scary all the same. Sunday’s are usually reserved for meal planning/prepping, organizing things for the week and basically lazing around not doing much at all. It’s nice 🙂
Also, I got a new phone! If you didn’t read last weeks post, I dropped mine in the toilet. SO mad at myself!
I hope you have a wonderful week! Im off to watch the oscars!
