Do you ever have days where you literally do nothing. You do the bare minimum to keep your house standing and your kids happy? I had one of those days on Tuesday. Noah binge watched paw patrol on Netflix and Siena and I laid and played right next to him. I had zero motivation. I just was not feeling well. Then Wednesday rolls around and we all got to sleep in, I felt marginally better and really wanted to kick germ ass. So I vacuumed, dusted, cleaned bathrooms, steam mopped and did 5 loads of laundry, all whilst the kids played happily in the living room. I don’t know how it happened but it did.

some days you do, some days you don't

When Siena went down for her nap Noah and I baked banana muffins, they have no sugar, so they are healthy and taste good too. You can find the recipe here. I love Pinterest.

Mummy guilt strikes again. As a stay at home mum I know it is my responsibility to teach my children as much as I can while they are home. Noah in particular as he will be going into pre-school next year, so I have been trying to think of little activities to help him with colours and numbers. Today we sorted pom poms into corresponding coloured containers. He nailed it. We also counted how many pom poms were in each container once they were sorted.

I’m going to try potato painting next, seems odd but a fun concept. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them!

I so get this! Yesterday was definitely one of those zero motivation days for me. I think that’s just life. There are some days where we’ve got it all together and some days we leave the house in slippers and yesterdays makeup. If we didn’t, the good days wouldn’t seem as good and we wouldn’t be appreciative of the little things – like two kids playing independently while some major deep cleaning goes on.

Loved how real this post was.
