Last Friday there was a chinook. Which brought on a lovely warmer day. The sun was out, it was about 8 degrees, there was no winter coat require. I understand some people are reading this and thinking I am crazy because 8 degrees anywhere else would be cold. But, here in Alberta, when it’s been in the minus’ for what feels like forever, 8 is warm and very welcome. Anyway, I got that spring summer feel. Which made me want to get out my tan (just kidding, my tan is always out), bright nail polish and get a new summer scent. And ignore the fact that it then snowed all weekend and pretend like summer is maybe in our future.
Which brings me to my latest finds…
Bondi Sands every day gradual tanning milk: I have spoken about my favourite fake tans here which includes my favourite gradual tan but this Bondi Sands gradual tanning milk is fast moving to number one. At first I thought it was a bit slow with building colour compared to the Jergens one. But it is Bondi sands and I absolutely love their dark tanning foam, it’s my new favourite self tan (not mentioned in the attached post) so I knew they wouldn’t disappoint! This gradual tan is great, to build tan I have applied twice a day after each shower. It gives a very natural golden colour to your skin, without making you look overdone in the middle of the -15 winter. Bonus, I actually really like the scent!
China glaze – flip-flop fantasy: I found this one at london drugs on mega sale. Like $4. I had to get it. Mostly because I am always attracted to bright colours. Even though I put this on my nails, I originally thought it’s definitely a perfect summer colour for the toes! It’s a perfect coral orange colour. I pair it with this Revlon top coat which has made it last for a few days now without chips.
Roller ball perfume, Replica – Beach walk: I was in desperate need for a new perfume. I only had a teeny tiny bit left of Nirvana white but ever since having kids it has been so hard to find a perfume I like. Everything either gives me a headache or just plain stinks to me. So when I first tried beach walk, I wasn’t sure if I liked it or not. I just wanted to love it because of the name, obviously. The scent is fresh and light. I would probably wear all year round, not specific to summer. I don’t think the scent necessarily brings me to the product description of a beach walk in the 1970’s, but, it does sound delightful! And the more I wear this scent, the more I love it!
I could go on and on about the products that put me into the summer feel or what I specifically love for summer, but for the moment, these are the newest products that I have recently gotten my hands on and I am really enjoying. So spring, you can come out now. I am more than ready for you!
