Boy oh boy, my little boy is THREE! Not going to lie, I’ll be happy to kiss two goodbye. That was a tough year. PEACE!
We celebrated Noah’s birthday at Taronga zoo! I have been to a few zoos and I may be slightly biased but it really is an impressive zoo with spectacular views of the city! After our fun day at the zoo we went home and ate cake. A monster truck themed birthday cake made by yours truly. I must say, pretty impressed with this years attempt! Thanks Pinterest.
Noah, you are truly one of a kind. You are so funny, adventurous, curious and never shy. You may turn me full grey before my next birthday or have us in the emergency room at some point with your Evil Kinevil ways but I wouldn’t change a thing. You are never short of kisses, always wanting to help and lately you always want to hold my hand. You come into our bed at some point almost every night and we actually love it – except we will be dusting off that gro clock and whipping you into shape soon…when we are ready to give up some sleep, so live it up boy.
Lately, I have noticed the little things are effecting me less. I think it comes after coming back from our holiday with an optimistic fresh start. But, also because I have realised how quick these babies have grown. Noah is becoming a really fun age now, we have conversations and he actually listens and he’s actually way easier to take out; I don’t panic nearly as much if he’s going to have a meltdown while I’m out. Will that worry ever fully go away though? Worrying what I’ll do with Siena in one arm and him in the other and if I manage to get groceries or what I (stupidly) left the house for, how will I manage?! But now, dare I say it? It may actually be getting slightly easier..The other shoe will drop soon, I am sure!
Having said that, it is definitely not all rainbows and butterflies. I have two toddlers under three, there are meltdowns and lots of defiance but I am starting to feel like I may actually have my shit together right now, this week at least. Like, all the laundry is actually done in one day, that includes putting it away, I know, riiight? I also have managed to do groceries with both my two kids (maybe a couple of times I have done click and collect, but..same thing) and I have managed to workout, cook dinner and keep both kids alive! 4 days in a row now! woo hoo, go me!
Nevertheless, this boy is 3! So bring on the year of the threenager! 😉
