Since having Siena I have really gotten into fitness and health and nutrition. I have always enjoyed eating healthy and buying new magic potions etc that feed your body vital nutrients it needs to be in top shape but I have really focused on it more over the past 18 months or so. I like to put a scoop of collagen peptides into my morning coffee. Usually, I workout in the morning so I want the benefits for my workouts. I also tend to be sore of an evening after working out and being on my feet all day and playing with kids. Those aches and pains have definitely diminished since taking collagen, so I feel like it has made a difference in that area. I have also started putting a scoop into my evening tea to help with a deeper sleep, although, what’s sleep when you have kids, amirite?

Skincare is important to me. I am always looking to try new products and ones that tend to be more on the natural side. Collagen Peptides is from grass fed pasture raised bovine hides for natural, high quality and sustainable source of nutrition. It’s recommended to have 1-2 scoops daily to give your body the vitamin boost it needs to keep your hair, skin, nails and joints healthy. As well as help with digestion and muscle recovery. So it’s a great all-rounder to start with if you are unsure which one to try.

How I use Collagen Peptides..

Because it has no flavour or smell it’s highly versatile and the easier one of the two to incorporate into my daily drinks I already consume. You could really just scoop it into water or put a scoop in absolutely any baking you do. I like to use it in the following:

  • 1 scoop in my morning superfood coffee or regular coffee.
  • 1 scoop with my protein shakes which is usually just almond milk and a scoop of my raw protein powder
  • 1 scoop into my evening tea – Usually I drink decaf green or a natural sleep tea
  • 1 scoop into my protein waffles (find recipe here)

Having any two of the above is the daily requirement and so easy to do!

Collagen Beauty Greens is a of blend non GMO marine collagen peptides mixed with organic greens that are high in Vitamin A, hyaluronic acid, and probiotics which also aid in keeping your hair, skin, nails healthy. This one I have is coconut vanilla flavour and to be honest it does have a green sort of taste and not so much coconut or vanilla. Which some people may not like. It’s not my favourite taste but there are easy ways to mask that flavour.

How I use Collagen Beauty Greens..

Smoothies! Basically I use any frozen fruits we have in the freezer, or berries that are getting soft with some almond milk and sometimes a scoop of raw vanilla protein powder (I use this one). Its great! The kids even drink it which makes me happy! Lately, however, I have been putting 1 scoop in a cup of cold water with a 1/4 slice of lemon juiced in and drinking that before I have my breakfast or drink my coffee. It’s a good way to get in water first thing and having your greens early. Apple cider vinegar in water use to be what I drank first thing in the morning but I am worried it effects my ISS (read about my condition here).

I will definitely keep up with having these in my daily routine. The marine collagen would be my next pick, as well as the collagen beauty water which sounds amazing! Lavender Lemon flavour? Who doesn’t want to drink that?!

    First off, your body is goals! But I e heard about this stuff. My friend uses it everyday and she swears by it! I’ll have to check them out.

    I LOVE smoothies! I will have to look into this and add it to mine! Okay to use during pregnancy??

      I just checked the packaging and it does say consult your doctor. So you could always check. They are all natural so I’m not too sure what the actual worry would be. The website lists all the ingredients too!

    Love Vital Protiens! I’m currently reaping its benefits right now! I’m using the peptides and the protein powder in the flavor , banana, cinnamon and vanilla! I love it so far!!
